Edvard Grieg module has arrived at Stord

A major component of the Edvard Grieg platform’s so-called module support frame was taken ashore at Kværner’s shipyard on Stord last Friday. Module C10/C20, which has been constructed in Poland, is 65 metres long and 35 metres wide, and weighs a total of 3 200 tonnes.

The rest of the support frame is already in place in Kværner’s shipyard hall.

The platform’s process module, which is being constructed according to plan at Aker Egersund, and the accommodation module under construction at Apply Leirvik, will be installed on the support frame along with the equipment module being constructed at Kværner Stord.
