Significant oil and gas discovery in the Barents Sea
Lundin Norway has made a significant oil and gas discovery in the southern part of the Barents Sea. The discovery was made on the Alta prospect in production licence 609 (PL609). Preliminary estimations show that the reservoir may contain between 125 – 400 million barrels of recoverable oil equivalents. Between 85 – 310 million barrels of this is oil.
An offshore platform in the making
The production platform for the Edvard Grieg field has moved from the drawing board to reality, and is now beginning to resemble a real offshore platform. Have a look at the video we have made shoving the results of great engineering and construction work. First oil from the field is scheduled during the fourth quarter of 2015.
Royal visit and prize award for Lundin Norway at ONS
Four hectic days at ONS 2014 is over, and Lundin Norway's participation can easily be summed up as a success. Our stand booth received both royal and ministerial visit, and our company was awarded the prize for best media facilitation at the conference.

This year’s ONS starts on Monday, 25 August in Stavanger. Lundin Norway will use the international oil exhibit to present ourselves as a fully-integrated oil company with ten successful years behind us on the Norwegian shelf and with boundless visions for the next ten years.
